Is my flight booking confirmed immediately?

Your booking is confirmed once your payment is processed and your e-ticket is issued. Please check your email (including junk folders) for your official itinerary.

Can I change my travel dates?

Changes are possible but are strictly limited to the fare policy, airline rules, and the terms and conditions of your ticket . Please note that not all tickets are changeable.

Depending on your specific fare rules and current availability, some modifications may be possible. To check if your booking can be modified, please contact our team directly. If a change is permitted, airline penalties and fare differences will apply in addition to any service fees.

Flight Bookings & Fares :

Are my flight prices guaranteed?

Airfares are dynamic and can change until your ticket is issued. Prices are only locked in once your payment is fully processed and the airline confirms the seat.

While we do our best to ensure a smooth booking process, if a technical error displays an incorrect fare, we will contact you within 3 business days to provide the correct fare or a full refund.

Why did I get a "Sold Out" message for a flight that looked available?

‘Sold Out’ happens during periods of high demand.

A seat may be snapped up in the seconds between your search and your final click. We monitor these changes closely to keep our listings as live as possible.

Can I earn Frequent Flyer miles on my booking?

Yes, most of our flights allow you to earn miles depending on the airline’s policy.

You can usually add your membership number during the booking process or at the airport check-in desk. Please note that some "Bargain" or "Exclusive" fares may be ineligible for points or upgrades; we recommend checking with the airline directly for specific fare class rules.

Baggage & Travel Logistics:

How do I check my baggage allowance?

Your specific baggage allowance is displayed during the booking process and is clearly stated on your e-ticket. Please note that many "Bargain" or "Lite" fares do not include checked luggage.

If your allowance is not clear or if you need to add additional bags, please contact us before you fly. You can reach our support team by calling 03 7076 2330 or by emailing reservations@orientvacations.com.

Will my luggage be checked through to my final destination?

Luggage checking is as per the airline’s "Interline Agreement.

Usually, if your entire trip is on one booking, your bags go all the way through. If you have booked two separate tickets, you may need to collect and re-check your bags at your stopover point.

How do I request a special meal or select my seat?

You can request your preferred seat and meal at the time of booking directly on our website. Based on availability, we will forward your request to the airline for processing.

You can also manage these preferences later through the airline’s “Manage Booking” section on their website. While we do our best to ensure a smooth trip, please note that seating and meal availability are ultimately controlled by the airline. If you have a severe allergy or a specific medical requirement, we strongly recommend contacting the airline directly at least 72 hours before departure to confirm your needs.

What if my itinerary involves two different airlines?

This is common for long-haul travel and is known as an "Interline" or "Codeshare" flight.

In most cases, you will check in with the "operating carrier" (the airline actually flying the plane). Your e-ticket will clearly state "Operated by [Airline Name]"—ensure you go to the correct airline terminal at the airport.

What is the difference between a stopover and a multi-city trip?

It's all about how long you stay.

  • Stopover: A short break (usually under 24 hours) between connecting flights.
  • Multi-City: A trip where you stay in one or more cities for several days before flying to your next destination. You can book these using our "Multi-City" search tool.

Payments & Security:

Can I pay with credit or debit cards or PayID?

We accept all major credit cards, and debit cards. The PayID option is available online during the checkout process.

Please contact our support team at 03 7076 2330 to discuss alternative payment arrangements or any doubts you may have.

Why am I getting an error message when using my credit card?

Error message during a credit card transaction is usually due to a mismatch in details.

Please ensure the name, billing address, and postcode you enter exactly match your bank’s records. If the problem persists, try a different card or call your bank to ensure there isn't a daily spend limit.

Changes, Cancellations & Help:

Can I modify my booking after it's confirmed?

Yes, however, modifications are subject to airline rules and not all tickets are changeable.

While we do our best to ensure a smooth trip, Orient Vacations shall not be held liable for airline-imposed restrictions. To change a date or route, a penalty fee plus any fare difference will apply.

What happens if I miss my flight?

If you miss your flight, please contact us immediately at 03 7076 2330 so we can assist you with the next steps . You should also reach out to the airline directly, as they are often best placed to provide immediate assistance in such situations.

Please note that if a flight is missed due to your own circumstances, the airline may mark you as a “No-Show,” which could result in the remaining segments of your ticket being cancelled. However, if you miss a connecting flight due to a delay on your first flight, please visit the airline’s transit desk for immediate assistance, and keep us informed so we can support you further if needed.

Safety & Documentation:

Can I change the name on my ticket if I made a mistake?

Generally, no—airline tickets are non-transferable.

While we do our best to assist, Orient Vacations shall not be held liable for entry errors made during the booking process. Even a small typo can result in the airline requiring a new ticket purchase at the current fare, so please double-check your passport details before confirming.

Should I check Smartraveller before I book my holiday?

We suggest all travelers visit the Australian Government’s Smartraveller website for the latest safety advice and entry requirements for their destination. We highly recommend and prioritise your security.

What documents do I need for my trip?

You must carry a valid government-issued photo ID for domestic travel or a valid passport for international journeys. If you are an international traveler flying on a domestic leg within a foreign country, you must keep your passport with you at all times.

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visas for your destination and any transit stops, as requirements vary depending on your nationality. Neither Orient Vacations nor the airline is liable if you are denied entry or boarding due to missing or incorrect documents.

How do I book for an infant (Under 2 years old)?

Infants can often travel for a reduced fare on an adult's lap.

However, for international travel, they still require a valid ticket and passport. If you wish to book a separate seat for an infant, please contact us directly.

Do I need to re-confirm my flight before departure?

While not always mandatory, we recommend checking your flight status 72 hours before take-off.
